Creating sustainable web solutions that’s both fun and accessible.
In an age where ensuring that a company’s web content is accessible to the masses and people with special needs is paramount, many fear that accessible design equals boring design.
The scope of this project was to explore ways of creating engaging web content that also adheres to every part and rule of WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) . Omnipollos Kyrka’s new website focuses on offering more information to the user upon entry and making navigation more efficient and easy to understand.Omnipollo is a Swedish microbrewery known for its innovative style of beers and vivid, imaginative beer can design. Omnipollo also owns multiple bars and restaurants, Omnipollos Kyrka being one of them - offering an authentic brewery experience in an old church in Stockholm.
The main visual element on the website, an illustration of the large church window, changes colors throughout the day and night. It functions like a clock, slowly fading between its seven colors during the day.
From a conceptual point of view, the changing colors pay homage to both the craft of using tinted glass in church windows, the vast diversity in Omnipollo’s beer can labels, as well as the time and patience that is required to brew great beer.
